Reviews for "Dead Zed 2"

ugh this game again, I suck at survival games. I had to switch b/w finding guns or survivors and im not sure if i can exit the game in mid battle cuz you never know which location's battle will involve a wave (or two) of hordes, i was too focused on sniping really. It's super easy to lose survivors, lose 2-3 and you lose 60-90 morale, that's way too big a drop and it affects the rest of the game when one screw up happens. Man now my hand is sore cuz I was so tense.

I finihsed the game on day 37 but there's nothing left :( like another commenter said, the ending was poor, or rather nonexistent so to speak.

Very fun game but I really wished it was a 'bit' more player friendly, the upgrade tree systems need some improvement but they're more or less fine the way they are, i dont see any barriers honestly and they're not even holding them off. If I had even metal fences or trenches or wood fences to slow them down that'd be nice. Needs more traps and whatnot. The stats on some of hte weapons are kinda.....questionable.

I was hoping for a grenade launcher.
There is NO such thing as a grenade launcher in this game it seems?? At the very least I never came across one. I lost people even though zombies didn't come close to me. I saved the cat as my wingman to restock my bullets but in reality cats dont give a crap about humans when it counts. They just watch. In both fear and amusement and out of selfish self-survival.

Anyways, I felt the worst when losing survivors, that was one issue with the game. The other issue is the point system being a tad too hard and expensive for upgrades or traps. Upgrading weapons would be nice too.

There are far too few survivors and way too many zombies in hordes and its just 'me' doing all the shooting esp with full autos. The semi-auto guns are fine, but I guess the full autos had to be weakened (the uzi types) to avoid making the game too easy, but dealing so little damage to the zombies made it hard for dealing with hordes.

Rage mode is nice but because I got so used to sniping zombies without needing to switch to full auto guns, using semii-autos is good enough if you're a decent shooter. I completely forgot about the rage mode until the third map, realizing that the game was getting so difficult and the guns themselves aren't remotely good enough.

It's impossible for me to get upgrades in the first and second map as I don't have enough points. Being able to purchase lights to light up the night near the beginning of the game would have been really nice. I barely have enough points to spend on the next mission, and still fall halfway short on another upgrade like explosives, and even then I need extra points to 'make' the explosives.

Solution:

-Make Night Light cheap (around 75-100 instead of 150 cuz its unaffordable early stages)
- Make explosives cheaper (around 40 instead of 75)
- More survivors across the map or at least increase chance of finding them other than a 25% boost from one time radar upgrade that does little to no good when I lose one or two people and morale plummets.
- Make morale loss a little more forgiving
- All these items I have to defend against zombie bites are USELESS. Gloves are described to fend off a zombie bite but have no effect on melee to prevent zombies from entering your last defense line. With that in mind
- Make 'actual' barriers that we paid for via upgrade system, because all I see are zombies running across them like they don't exist. At least let us put lines of wood pike/stake traps.
- During 3rd map, there are so few survivors and lots of chances to get machine guns, though machine guns seem to be the worst choice weapons as they kill way too slow even as fast rate shooting weapons as opposed to semi autos that deal the sweet damage to one hit zombies. At that point, having more chances to get guns is negligible because early map 1 and 2 was about getting guns while map 3 should have had more survivors since you have all the weapons you need.
Losing 1-2 people messes up whether one should place them as snipers or melee or searchers, and I had no way of defending myself when ive no idea which weapon was best to use for a particular location.

Survivor system is great, but it could have been much more improved and expanded, same goes for main protag and their skill/damage and everyone's ability to find things (or people). Being the only guy who shoots with a fully auto or semi while the others shoot maybe once per 3-5 seconds doesn't help much against a horde. Early map 1 and map 2, it was impossible for me to get enough points for an explosion upgrade 'with' enough points for explosives. Then again this could have been solved if I used rage mode, but that thing charges up too slow, so an upgrade for filling up rage mode meter faster could be one solution. Another thing is that because choices for guns and damage/rate of fire is limited in map 1 and 2, the hordes tend to overwhelm too easily.

Looking forward to a sequel to this or something similar. (sorry for the ramble)

HOLY SHIT! I never thought I would play this game again. I remember this game from like 5 years ago.

Gave up on day 36 but still a very good game if you are bored.
EDIT: Finished the game and the ending was poor.

very addictive and very cool I really like it

Won't let me buy the stronger barricades!!!!!
