Reviews for "Labyrinth: SoS"

Very, very, very awesome roguelike platformer. Graphics are good and animations are surprisingly awesome. Music is good, though I'd wish there were more tracks. Many people complain about the random elements, but that's pretty much what a roguelike excels in.

It needs a bit of polish, of course, but this is a great game. Straigh to my favs. Well done!

PestoForce responds:

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed!

Dang, I don't know what to say about this. I managed to lose at this at the boss battle, but then I had to start all over again! I know I had beaten the first level, whatever it was. Anyway, this game is just too freaking complicated. How can a dragon be killed like that? I just spent a half hour playing this and didn't get a single medal out of it!

Yeah, that's the kind of player I am. I appreciate the graphics and the music. It just isn't in any way rewarding. I like that labyrinth word. I think you're a dragon at least.

PestoForce responds:

If at first you don't succeed...

I beat the first boss, and then some random thing exploded and I died. Thanks for nothing.

PestoForce responds:

Ha ha, ok...

The first time I played this game it went pretty great, until I would up getting slaughtered by the Level-5 boss.

The second time I played, I wound up at the bottom of Level 1, with four Orbs left to break, and the random design of the level was such that I would need Super-Jump or Block Breaker, or at least Gliding, to be able to reach any of the other Orbs. The game is completely impossible to beat in this state.

NEVER EVER EVER design random levels in a way that lets this be possible. Tragic fail.

PestoForce responds:

Sorry, but it's impossible to get stuck at the bottom on the first 4 levels. I hard-coded a way back up for those. Sorry if you failed to explore enough to find your way back up!

Well I guess the important things have already been said.
There many great things you did put together in a great mess. And it's fun doing stuff with it.

Now GO BACK IN YOUR BASEMENT and make an awesome game out of it ;)

PestoForce responds:

Messes lead to innovation! (or something)
