Reviews for "Narcissus"

i think its fine, but not my kind of game. is there any way i can find this track? i really like it.

I wonder, if this is how the Bytopia would look like...
Anyway, although I didn't have enough patience (this time :) ) for later levels, I find this game very good - a creative interpretation of the running games genre, with well balanced levels and suitable music.

I really fuck wid it, fr. Ion kno what these n***az are talkin about when they bring up key pressin errors, but tha shit workz fine to me. Tha only thing that fk'd up was when I pressed pause (screen paused but didn't know menu), then after I un-clicked it, a pause menu showed up. But it went away after I died, so itz all good. But tha real question is, WHAT IS THAT SONG. I NEED ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

AlexVsCoding responds:

Thanks for pointing it out about the menu - I am aware of the issue and am finding a way to address it. Basically you can't pause until the level has finished transitioning but the true/false statement (that says whether the game is paused or not) is still able to change. This means when you press pause immediately, the graphics for the pause menu appear when it's unpaused and disappear when it's paused (the opposite of what it's meant to do).

The name of the song is called Uno by my good friend Luke Smith. There's a link to his soundcloud account in the description to the game.

It is a fun game with a concept I haven't seen before.

My only criticism is it doesn't allow simultaneous input. If the up and down arrows are pressed at the same time then only one action is executed. This needs fixing.

AlexVsCoding responds:

Hey Matt! It's strange you should mention that, as it was the first issues that I addressed when I started the project literally years ago and hasn't been a problem since.... If you could drop me a message to see if we can find the source of the problem, that'd be ace. Thanks!

A great concept, I really enjoyed the challenge of playing it solo. My only criticism is that sometimes the springboards in the later levels seemed a bit dodgy. Otherwise an excellent execution of a great idea, I look forward to the continuation.
