Reviews for Boss 101

I just stopped playing for a minute to let you know that this is now easily in my top 10 favorite new games on NG. All my 5, etc. I admit the game is easy (If you get 4-5 in Attack and Firerate you basically have already won.

To my surprise, I did die once but it just let me re-roll. I haven't seen any, but you should consider a GAME OVER/Continue screen. That way, with 101 bosses to fight, you don't just fly in, press Z, and spam Space until the robot is defeated.

Finally, two last things: 1. Please make a sequel. But please don't stray too far from how this game is made, it's just so good. 2. Please add medals haha :]

Very great game! Favorited, since I enjoyed it and i can see that you worked very hard on this. I beat normal mode, I will try hard mode later.

I beat this game in about an hour and a half. It was really fun figuring out how make bosses into easy battles and still earn good money. The RPG elements and the commentary, OH THE COMMENTARY, were the frikin bomb. I grew kinda fond of that jet pack. Guess I'll grab one myself and save the day.
On technical stuff:
If main character were smaller you could prolly make it a 2 player game and give the bosses different travel patterns because I found myself no near the right side of the screen. Also, at end game, the weapon power ups you get in battle feel useless as your gun is way stronger. It'd be great if that bazooka had a greater explosion; the multi-shooter should shoot an even wider spray; the laser should travel slower to penetrate more enemies. All that stuff would be cool.
Overall, I congratulate you. This game's simple appearance but very fun and unusual mechanics are just genius.

Hey - thanks for the response and rating! I'm so glad you enjoyed the game and I'll start off right away saying I am considering making a sequel that would have (you guessed it) co-op play. It's certainly something which would be popular. Also - totally agree about the gun upgrades. I kinda lost my focus on them during later development stages and though they do upgrade they don't "feel" near strong enough at later levels.
