Reviews for "The House"

Great game, I really love how you managed to make this feel like a dream. I even liked the jump scare, which is something I usually detest, and I found it rather appropriate in this game.

Only problem I had with this is the light puzzles at the end. I really want to finish the game, but I can't bring myself to mess around with the puzzle anymore, so I'll wait for a walkthrough to be posted so I can see how it ends.

loved, it is hard to comprehend, but it is very artistc. I think you're officially a bachelor now. Enjoy :)

Its a good game.. but I have a stick.. and dont know what to do << also everytime i go on the computer it wont let me X out of it.. @.@ driving me crazyyy! I cant go back downstairs ... >> help? D:

I haven't reviewed anything in a long time, but this one sucked me in pretty well. Rather trippy elements of metaphysical analogies are in this thing. A lot of the puzzles were not very intuitive, but I guess they wouldn't be puzzles if they were not puzzling, right? I got pretty frustrated with the last two light bulb puzzles but if you just figure out how to manipulate the lights with the tool you are given then it sort of happens when you stumble upon the answer. There are certainly patterns to the first two but the third one was just a matter of patience... which I didn't know I had. The "story" itself is pretty interesting and that's why I saw it through to the end. The ending was another trip altogether. Was this some analogy for someone in a coma searching for a way to die and stuck in their own weird dream world, forced to use huge stretches in associative reasoning to prevent some other horrendous fate?

A wonderful game! Beautiful design, with lots of intriguing details to be found. It was a little rough around the edges (your English is good but you need more practice). The UI was also a little clunky, it was sometimes hard to tell whether or not I could click on something, and having to click the X at the top of the screen to exit out of viewing something didn't really feel right.

My main criticism is the light puzzles. They felt so of out of place. The rest of the game was solved with much more exploration and dynamic solutions, but these were just brain teaser puzzles that you had to do in a linear order in order to advance. I'd suggest something using else to break up that hallway.

The atmosphere was really what made this game, heavy with slowly growing dread and fear despite the light colors and soft music (I loved the music too, by the way.) The face in the mirror was trippy, kinda like being on acid actually.

Overall a very good game. I was very impressed, since in the description you stated that this is your first one.

Also, a tip for people stuck on the light puzzles. Use symmetrical patterns!

"your English is good but you need more practice". Yes, indeed. :) If you could point out what's exactly wrong that would be really helpful!
