Reviews for "The House"

interesting graphics... but, it is too strait forward. everything is too simple and is handed to you, it would be more interesting if their were more elaborate puzzles. and, the panels... you might have done something more original, though, i did like the third one. a recommendation would be presenting each puzzle in such a way that the player knows what to do, but, not how to do it.

The art of the game was wonderfully unique. However the game window is a bit too tall, it dampens the experience. I feel that the last three "Lights Off" puzzles threw off the game's balance a bit, it doesn't seem to mesh with what you have presented before it.

Pretty run of the mill adventure game - the art is quirky but I don't see anything else very special here.

The random cryptic nonsense aesthetic isn't even half as deep or cerebral as kids these days seem to think it is.

The chain on the toilet was a pixel hunt. I actually tried to interact with it once and left the room assuming there was nothing there. Increase the size of the click zone on that one.

The "toggle lights in a + pattern" puzzle is beyond overdone and I'm docking points off this review for using it at all. That's before the points I'm also docking for your response to feedback about the "third panel" puzzle. "I meant for it to be hard" isn't a valid answer to the slew of complaints you're getting about it. It should be plainly obvious that nobody else likes it and your intentions aren't relevant - if you plan to stand by them then prepare to get downvoted.

A good game, indeed!

It has some compatibility bugs with browsers, and it freezes sometimes.

But, please, give us a solution too! Especially if some of the puzzles have an involuted logic a solution would be really appreciated.

Bit of a bug stopped me from getting too far. The gray corridor has an electric switch, and I thought I had to explore while electrocuted, so I left the corridor and the game froze. Even after I wasn't charged anymore.

The game so far looked really nice though.
