Reviews for "Eastward Quest"

I'm really surprised! The game is very fun and addicting.

If you add some medals,It can become more funny :)

Also, great work with the soundtracks and the pixel art,i really liked it

Good job!

Alright... got pretty addicted, lol. It could be just be but... I sucked so hard on final level, I almost got the final hit in a couple times with the boss, but, meh, the placements and fire spitting just kept working against me. One thing I always liked about level up games was that if there's a problem, there's no limit to how much power you can withhold until you are capable of beating it at your own level... I feel like I wasn't given that capability to become stronger. I know I suck at games with projectiles but I just wish I was capable of getting those extra upgrades to make the attainable victory more enjoyable. But I know this is more skill-based and it's late for me, but alas... 4.5 from me, hope ya keep coming out with good ones like this. love me an 8 bit adventure.

This game is honest and tells you to just go right and kill. Which is everything you have to do at the start. Later dodging enemies becomes more important, especially at the levels with arrows and fireballs. Still the most important upgrade is the one for more experience, because often there is too many enemies to be able to dodge them and you will need lots of hit points to beat the boss.

Levels seems random, which is here more good than bad. You just try over and over until you finally get through. And because coins you collect won't disappear when you die, you can just kill enemies in the same level until you max all upgrades.

I liked that upgrades has noticable effect but they are not too strong, so the game still required a bit of skill and/or luck.
On the other hand slowing down or running has little effect, I didn't use it at all.

Both graphics and music are nice and fits together. Using mirages in sand level was great idea and I would like to see it in more games.

I really liked it, the visuals were my favorite part, especially the Ashrealm creatures. If you decided to move the world of this game into another type, say an RPG, I would absolutely be interested. Anyways, the game was fun, I felt it was a bit easy at times, and maybe a bit unbalanced, but I still really liked it. The enemies weren't all the same, I liked how varied they were, excellent examples being the desert mirage effect and the poison spiders, it made me have to think a bit. I didn't really notice a big change in regards to the upgrades, mainly the speed, but that might have just been me. Also, I know I might get a little hate for this, but I felt the final boss was way too easy. To me, the dragon really felt like a boss that would introduce the mechanics a bit, then you would have to fight harder bosses later. But overall I really liked it and would love to see more from you, especially those little Ashrealm guys, they're awesome.

Amazing game its hard but some part are easy. The music is amazing it matches the level your playing the enemies are always different I love it but the final boss is kinda easy but hard at the same time and only if it was longer I hope you make a sequel as great as this game.
