Now, it may be that I've only ever watched scary games on Youtube, with the exception of a couple of point and click adventures and perhaps other oddities. But this game indescribably scared me beyond anything I was expecting; such a thing hasn't really happened quite like what I experienced a few moments ago. You succeeded in giving my adrenaline a surprising momentary boost, and for that I applaud you.
Lovecraft meets Atari? Count me in :D
The difficulty was quite challenging (though it could be for me because I am a casual gamer), but this game's interesting concept really kept me restart this game. Only problem is the lack of instructions and hints (I almost gave up at first red wall room. Almost.), but I guess it can be explained that this game was "retro", so no instructions other than basic ones.
Few tips to those who are stuck:
1) You have seven lives. Make them count.
2) Red rooms move the spikes UP as the screen goes up. It also moves skulls and portals. Also, you can touch the spikes without dying when the screen is not going up (tried this several times).
3) The safest way you can pass purple cyclops (not purple face) is the second when it closes its eyes. When you pass it, it will move, but you can avoid it.
4) Third Cthulhu room (I think) have two entrances. Think before going through any of them.
5) Spider cannot go through the outermost wall for some reason. Stay on left wall or exit if you are stuck.

6)Zombies are monster when they are turned into one. You will know what I mean
7)To kill the sloth in front of purple house, you need to gut him from inside.
