Reviews for "Shooting in the Dark"

deep truely deep i see your point about games being terrible now thanks for the perfect example

brb calling my senator

the only time you get a choice, is when it asks you if you wish to play or not. i am giving no stars because i am a gamer, i was bullied in school, but never once did i go and get my gun

Problems with this game:

1. Music loops over itself contantley, it's extremely annoying
2. Game resets itself endlessly, once you pick up the key, every morning is the same, you walk upstairs, go back down and BAM you're back to Happy again?
3. It's as linear as games come, yet it's touted in the beginning of being about choices?
4. Why do you even have some of the things clickable if they serve no purpose? why do I need to be told "That is dad's TV"? That's great, I'm proud for dad.
5. Pick up the key, go upstairs "This door is locked" ...that makes sense, since I have the key and all
6. The motion is extremely slow, I have to wait 10 seconds for him to walk across the room, that's not useful information, I don't need to see him do that.
7. It's extremely repetitive. He skips school, gets in trouble, plays games, repeat...boring.
8. I don't think this game was tested before uploading, the way the speech bubbles interact with the rest of the game is very non-user friendly. It's a nightmare at some points.

"You always had a choice," the game tells me at a couple points, but that couldn't be further from the truth. From the moment the game starts, you're railroaded pretty hard on a specific path: want to be a good boy and go to school? Sorry, the game won't give you that option - you've never had a choice.

Decided to play video games to destress and decompress from a tough day? Sorry, that means you're a lunatic.

Want to leave for school on the last day? Nope, you chose relaxing with a hobby, clearly you made the choice to grab a gun.

For the message you're trying to put out, the presentation is extremely shallow and the way it forces the message is really insulting the intelligence.
