Reviews for "Shooting in the Dark"

I got the gun and got looped back to the screen before I got the gun endlessly. I doubt that was supposed to be the ending, but in its current state this game is unfinishable. I can probably guess what comes next, though. Oh, and I may have had a choice, but he didn't, just saying. Not sure I agree with your message and I can't really give more than half a star to a broken game with minimal gameplay.

in this game i never had a choice.
i am forced to go to the park, forced to take the gun, forced to do everything ...

well you should remake the game so it will have some sense in it, its just forces you to go you're way

Change your clothes annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd STUCK FOREVER!

Fix your game first!

*sigh* Not much of a game, is it? "You always had a choice". Not much of one, the only choice was whether to play or not - after that, the game won't let you do anything else.

An interesting concept? Certainly. A commentary that suggests that those who chose violence somehow had no choice? Seems like it. A good game? Not even a little. It would've been better as a movie. We DO have choices - namely how we handle things. And after playing a second time through to be sure that it could progress no other way, the 'you always had a choice' thing is just annoying.

The game had a lot of railroading. Many good games make good use of this, but in this game the inability to do things that seem perfectly logical is frustrating. In addition, for a game in which choice is the main theme, there is hardly any choice other than not playing. There is also a major bug with the key setting the player back, forcing them to replay parts. Finally, the user interface could use some work. For example, when looking at the safe for the first time, i didn't know the code, but was unable to leave the interface, thus requiring me to restart the game.
The game is pretty bad, but there's something interesting here. With a lot of work this could be a very interesting and immersive piece, though as it is now, it is not worth playing.
