Reviews for "Guild Dungeons 2"

Great game, loved the original, and it just got better

I have a few suggestions.
1. Add a building or two that shorten the income timer.
2. Add a mushroom farm. seriously mushrooms are too rare.
3. Add a way for iron production to yield more per turn. If you build the foundry you basically have zero iron without buying it.
4. Add a way for stone production to yield more per turn.
Otherwise this is a great game.

although i REALLY like this game, i dont really understand why i would need a Longhouse, Archery Range, or some other stuff. cause when i use precious rescources i spent FOREVER getting, i expected a new soldier i can use, but when i get nothing it makes me Mad. And when im doing quests, i can do first 2 quests there, the next one i can never beat, i sent 50 henchman and 120 conscripts, and still lost. i later, (i mean week 2 of playing) bought Rangerguild. and i got the most BASIC RANGER although it took 2 weeks to get. i managed to beat the second level, and then got Minotaurs, and when i kept doing more quests, i died on EACH ONE, i feel as if that something is not wright about the fighting here...other then THAT, 5 stars and good game

Hyptosis responds:

Sorry for the troubles, some soldiers require more than one building. Next time I make a game like this, I will increase the resource gain. Thanks for the feedback!

Well, to start off, let me say that this review is probably going to be pretty long. I absolutely love this game, and Hyptosis is an amazing game developer. The fact that this entire game was coded and drawn by one man is pretty damn amazing. Some people say that It's just a bad game in general but I disagree, it has its faults (which we'll get to soon) But there is many, many strengths that this game has. First, it's a surprisingly original concept in the gaming world. I love medieval games more than any other type of game (namely Mount & Blade and Skyrim) and the fact that there's not many games like this is strange to me. Sure, there's the RTS counterparts to this idea (Age of Empires for one, and maybe the Stronghold series) but the fact that this kind of game was made as a non-RTS sets it apart. However, there are several things in this game that could use some improvement.

Tutorial: First off, the tutorial to this game was no more than 'this button does this, this counter means that' and then you're just thrown into the game with half an idea of what's going on. If you mess around for a little while you'll start to understand, but if there was some sort of a hint-system this game would be much easier to get into. Maybe if you clicked on the crocodile guy at the bottom right, he could help you out a little bit? ;) just an idea.

Magic: I found like 2 mushrooms the entire time I played this. The Wizards and magic-related stuff is pretty unnecessary, atleast in my playthroughs I haven't used them.

Quests: (That difficulty 4 quest, man!) The fact that I could gather like 100 archers and use the elk commander to beat the main boss is ridiculous. And the fact that I could send a few hundred of a certain troop into a rather simple quest and get completely annhilated is, too. Yeah, you have to choose troops carefully, but that sucks if you're trying to farm a resource. IMO there should be something to give you a hint of what your odds are in finishing the quest. Also, the hunchbacks/loot carrying guys are a bit expensive. On high-end quests you can send many, many hundreds and still not colllect everything.

Refinery: I'm sure you already know what I'm going to say, but it's just pointless.

Industry: On some buildings (Mines, woodcutters, etc) There shouldn't be able limit, but they should get more expensive for each one you build. If that was implemented, I wouldn't have to go do something else while my game slowly gathers me resources.

Well, I'm gonna stop here. I know I sounded pretty critical here, but honestly hypto, Great game. I'm looking forward to some future games now that you have your new scanner! :)

it actually helps to buy the things you lack in the trade menu to start and go by...
Also, it warms heart that Mina got to a new city...

I lost my progress...
