Good game. As N-Mario mentioned you can jump forever if you press jump on the frame when the guy is at its higest point (the frame before he falls down or some frame near that). You can probably fix that using a yspeed -10 when he starts to jump then yspeed+=something like 0.3 when he is jumping and y+=yspeed on enterframe.

This was a really solid game, but like others have said, the ending ruined the game. I understand it was made for Ludum Dare, but I think the rushed nature of the contest/competition/hackathon kinda reared its head with the ending, since it seems like you wanted to make a boss battle, but then pigeonholed it after you realized it had basically no time left to program it.

Other than that, even with its simple graphics/mechanics, it was a good game. The only other complaint I have is that the "path of violence" doesn't make it clear that you can shoot; I had to read your uploading comments to find that out.

A boss was never planned, the end was written like that from the beginning. It was not rushed, it's exactly what we wanted it to be. Sorry you didn't like it.

The plot would have been better if not for the simple and underdeveloped dialogues. You tried to mimic a good philosophical game and failed.

Graphics and presentation where overall quite good (bar the background on the last level)
The platforming only got good on the last 2 levels, before that it might of well all been a QTE
Story was pretty bad, characters have no depth, plot calls you a bad person for no real reason.
