Reviews for "On The Run"

This could work well, but far to often the exact same problem would show up twice in a row. Hard problems also seemed fairly mixed with easier although of course only by comparison, but it seemed to increase in difficulty a little. It needs to be less random (ie the same problem not showing up twice in each level would be nice) and to cause a more noticeable increase in difficulty.

nice! good job!
could easily put children to learn with this, fun way to praticte!
and a funny way to frustating guys who forget about math, just like me ._. lol
thanks to made me practice =P

its ok but kinda meh

You know, I WAS going to treat this like most flash projects I come across and not review, however I feel I need to comment on this one since I got me to come back to it more than once.
This game is... nice. It's a simple little platformer with Mental Multiplication fit in, which is nice. The difficulty solely lies in the mathematics, which will catch people completely off guard if not well-versed in times-tables, or sloppy at mental arithmetic.
The platforming itself is not that hard, though there are a few bugs, like collision detection: Jumping right into certain enemies (like UNDERNEATH ONE) doesn't kill the character, and jumping on enemies (LIKE THOSE @#%$$^ SPIDERS) usually get both character and enemy killed at some angles where the character shouldn't be killed, as well as sometimes, the character should have died, but the enemy died instead. That latter case happens a bit more than rarely, so some points taken for those. Also, the stronger rats tend to throw themselves off their platforms after getting hit once, though I am not really sure if that was intended or not so I'm leaving that alone.
Personally, I like this game, a lot. Because now I have a great way of brushing up on on the simple stuff while getting some good entertainment. It's certainly helped me with some certain equations that I have problems answering quickly and confidently. I may keep coming back to this game just for the practice, really.
Seeing as this was updated from a school project it's a very good effort. I look forward to seeing a more advanced and more elaborate version of this game possibly with difficulty levels, as well as the inclusion of the other three equation types. (PLEASE DO THIS~!).

Thank you so much for this detailed review. I'm not sure if we'll ever go back to the On The Run franchise, because we have a lot more cool stuff lined up at the moment. However, it might not be out of the realm of possibilities to see more of this world.. Thanks again, happy learning!

I felt tricked into learning XD

but thats ok i need it!

Ha! You LEARNED something today! Take that, world of today!
