Reviews for "Cleansing"

With the pixelated style you'd thin you could rin this on anything but no, the thrid screen is just a laggy mess, the only way you can kill something it though cornoring and blind luck. Still If I wan't on a laptop and on some high performance PC I'd bet it'll do better.

An excellent piece of art!
It takes a lot of patience to finish all the achievements (although the smaller ones seem very unnecessary), but it is very entertaining to herd the people around and hunt down these nasty
blob-things. I especially appreciate the whole presentation of the game: The music and the graphics create a n impression of melancholia, and through the whole play, the game just felt strangely macabre, even when just killing the blobs. But it is also very frustrating to finish nearly all the stages without even hurting a sheep, just to have one of this retarded townspeople running in your way out of nowhere. Maybe a bit more utility would have been a great addition to the gameplay;
Like, for example, a howl, that keeps animals and people at distance for a moment, or a brief moment, in which you can cancel your attack. If you plan to remake it ANOTHER time in the future, you should consider some kind of watchmen, who go after you when you make to much ruckus, so you are forced to hide yourself, if you want to complete the game without harming people.
Overall, I love this game, but that seems to be the case with most games, which have their origins in the ludum dare. I guess it's because these games can not often rely on a story based on dialogues, which often leads an extraordinary well designed gameplay.

WHY?WHY?WHY?
...because little girl.... I was attacking this slime you see... THEN YOU CAME THE FUCK OUT OF NOWHERE!!

oh, by the way the survivors medals says "complete game with survivors with the weight of the unaware" that implies there is another way of getting through the mind lock without having to kill slimes...
how exactly do I do that!?!?

awesome game, should be a little long. Anyway i enjoyed, and thx for making the game:D
P.s.: the dragon reminds me of a burning deathwing :P

Oh, I accidentally maul a little girl and suddenly I'm reckless?

I think this game is quite good, I felt nothing really new here but at the same time felt it was a fun challenge trying not to hurt anyone. Even though the 'fun challenge' made me want to just eat the damn villagers most of the time (CAN'T THEY SEE I'M TRYING TO SAVE THEM?! I KNOW I'M A GIANT FIRE HELL BEAST WHO LOOKS LIKE HE'S LITERALLY ON FIRE BUT COME ON) and on many occasions I gave up and did just that I found myself muttering something that made me think

'Run away from me! I'll just hurt you you idiots!'

It made me think of how this beast is, depending on what ending you want, trying to help these people but because of his massive stance, close quarters and idiotic villagers with their unbridled panic he ends up hurting what he wants to save.

Overall, not perfect. It's interesting how many people did kill everyone their first go because they couldn't understand he was there to help. Like the villagers. I think something like this with slightly more polished controls, better villager reactions and a longer run time could turn into something I waste hours on in a good way.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going back to get the 'clean' medal.
