Reviews for "CHILDREN"

You clearly put a heck of a lot of work into this because it shows. The art was very beautiful, the sound and music created the perfect mood, and... well there's not much else to speak of sadly. Some of the animation was quite jagged (mostly on the limbs) which was distracting. I didn't feel like it needed to be as long as it did; I often found myself daydreaming because the pace wasn't very engrossing at all. The story was cheesy and the monster, like someone said earlier, was kind of silly. It didn't have to be though, you could have saved yourself a bunch of work and just kept the monster hidden. That could have made for a potentially more interesting story and kept some of that much needed suspense. Those are my personal feelings though, maybe you intended to present the monster as more of an imminent threat, I just don't see the purpose in that.

There goes a Daily Feature

Very good! My only problem was that the characters were a little hard to become emotionally attached to, as they lacked dialogue and facial expressions. Of course, that's basically the point of presenting the story the way you did, so I guess that's more a problem with the medium than with the way you used it. The fact that you were able to bring so much emotion and tension to the story despite this speaks well of your work.

Next time, you may try not revealing the monster, obscuring it from view to keep it more terrifying. Or at least keeping it hidden longer to make its first appearance more dramatic. Also, in the scene where it kills the fox, you could try speeding up its hand movement, to make it more shocking.

This is truly a work of art, nothing less!

The story was basic, but very well executed: the lighting, the music, the silent characters, all of this really drags the viewer into the story, so that one will almost live it through.
Lighting, art style, and music all blended in some sort of alchemy, which yielded very pleasing results, well done.

However, I feel that I must point out that the animation of the characters felt a little choppy, and it could use some improvement. It is far from terrible however, as some pointed out - in fact it's pretty decent, albeit average.

Overall, movies like these are a rare find on Newgrounds, and deserve attention. I admire your amazing talent, as not many could create such scenery and story like you.

That was a wonderfully done cartoon. It's too bad I had no idea what was going on in it. I was thinking it was supposed to represent something, but I didn't understand it. I like how it doesn't take the easy way out and has most of the main characters die. That's a pretty realistic depiction. I saw the bull attack the monster and was confused by how it was only half done.

Wow, this new format has really changed how I view these things. The animation was just gorgeous. I love how you manage to show much emotion even without dialogue or even faces! The monster is designed especially well. I can't believe I missed this when it first came out.
