This was okay, but there was something missing. Not the humour or the animation, which were all very good, but a kind of feeling... presence if you will, and I think I know what it is.
I can't imagine how difficult it was to take over the reigns of this show after the passing of Edd last year, but I'm actually thinking having another actor take on the role was the wrong move to take, as good as he was. Since the show was called "Eddsworld" rather than "Edd", I think it could have been possible to continue with Matt and Tom, and having the in-show version of Edd die, too, maybe showing the more serious side to the in-show version of Matt and Tom.
But, in the end, that's just me. Clearly 95% of the comments are overwhelmingly positive, so clearly I'm just one discenting opinion among many positive ones.
