Reviews for "400 Years"

I like it when someone puts effort in these kind of games and gives them a nice backstory rather than just putting it in another abstract laboratory setting with a sardistic instructor in the background.

Now as I played it to the village which is struck by famine I thought the story would progress in a direction with a moral like: "Help those on your way and you do the right thing (and therefore prevent the calamity)"
But your endings was allright and the game itself was great! ^^

One of those games that feels "just right." Cool concept of time and season, this could be expanded into a lot of other possibilities. Yeah, the walking was slow, but the game's about patience, right? It's kind of a nice break from all the fast-paced stuff we play these days.
It also had a good balance of being just puzzling enough that the challenges were satisfying. I went very quickly from not having any idea what to do to feeling like, "I've got this. We'll just wait about 15, 20 years...."
Great job.

Concept: Like most people said already, great, epic , but simple concept that no one has ever thought of. This concept could be expand way and way more.

Gameplay: It is like a walk in the moring. You don't care about how long it take to the objective, but what you see on the way. Claiming me from all those high-speed games of recent decade. Feel really refleshing and relexing.

Music: gix the game almost perfect. Only that it's quite too repeating. (I do not oppose repeating because it support the concept, but I oppose the one-feeling repeating of the song. I only feel like it's spring all year. Maybe some extra of summer or winter could help.)

Drawback:
it
.
..end

too...

Wow. This was depressing. I think my heart broke a little.
Great great great music and very unique and refreshing concept. This game is really calming; right now, I'm in a state of complete relaxation.
You truly feel like a kind and gentle giant while playing this. Made me think about patience and how we try to rush things really often.
Gorgeous piece of work.

Very great game, the slow pace forces you to take your time, while the "restraint" of 400 years makes it so that you know your time IS limited. I went back for a second play and found the game to make a lot more sense, as well as I was able to decrease the time taken to complete the game substantially. The secret medal as well is a nice touch and somewhat forces the player to think outside the "end of game" scenario they are presented with. Overall a great game, and I would as well enjoy seeing this ported to a full scale game (2000 years?!). Well done.
