Reviews for "Fractured"

I feel Like I've played a better version of this game before... it involved platforming, and a less annoying perspective concept, a better story with a bit more detail...

This is still a good game, despite it's many flaws

GroZZleR responds:

I'm pretty sure this exact concept is original but I'm sure there's many other puzzle platformers out there. Glad you still enjoyed it.

Great puzzle even though I'm not British people so I'm not understand lots of story.
I have some trick here , if you want.
1.try to find yourself on another pieces of picture
2.notice some decoration , that always place on platform , land on it
3.try to notice yourself from several pieces. it will help you to jump

GroZZleR responds:

Great advice! Linking together different decorations is especially key to success. Thanks for playing.

I love the concept, but there are so many things not doing it for me. First, emotional pieces are better when they subtly envelop the player in the situation. One way this could be done, for instance, is by making the weather transitions more gradual through the levels and by making the mother have a corporeal form but begin to fade into an ethereal being as you progress. You may also want to consider getting rid of the narration, I found it to be jarring to the situation, a bit repetitive yet somewhat difficult to follow, and the poetry seemed crass. I didn't feel encased in the situation, I felt like I was watching a depressing story for preschoolers. It was fun, the broken camera perspective was played out fairly well given one or two leaps of faith here or there. But the point of the piece was lost to me in the presentation.

GroZZleR responds:

I wish the art faded more gradually too. Instead of going from "happy" to "dark", there needed to be a couple more states in between. Unfortunately that much work costs that much more money and I was already tight when I hired the artist. You raise a valid point and I'm sorry it didn't resonate with you. Thanks for playing all the same.

THE FEELS!!! OH M GOD im so sad right now :(

GroZZleR responds:

I know that feel bro.

Sorry but crappy camera angles are nothing new in games. I get what you're going for but I found the camera to be more annoying than puzzling. It would have been nice to be able to drag and drop choice pieces. Not all of them of course because that would defeat the purpose but maybe dragging one around and if you try to drag a different one then the previous piece snaps back into place.

GroZZleR responds:

I originally had the pieces draggable but it degraded into a glorified jigsaw puzzle. I prefer the exploration element that there's now. Sorry you couldn't get into it. Try looking for posters that are cut in half or lamp posts that stretch from one fractured piece to another. Thanks for playing.
