Usually a huge fan of your work, but I think there is a fundamental issue with your random encounter generator. I quickly get to a point where all I find are zombies, not food. If I fight, the continual battles will do me in, if I choose to flee, I eventually starve to death. Still, I love the artwork and with some tweaking this could be a great game.
It might just be me, but I seem to never find food when i'm down below 5 days remaining, only zombies.
Loving the Firefly references though.
Never seen such bullshit number generation. Really an area full of nothing but super mutants? Food is so unevenly distributed that i had to survive on nothing but medkits most of the time.
My suggestion would be to tone down on the damn super mutants. Tweak the random number generator to give a more even distribution of every category of events, add more zombie variety with different conditions/abilities for late game and add repeatable mini bosses.
