Reviews for "MOON"

A very crucial part that is lacking is speed: it takes far too long to walk, without a good reason.
Another thing is the lack of choices, the majority of the game is just following commands.
I like the atmosphere, the setting, the idea: threatening and horrific images, supplemented by eerie music/sounds.
The art on itself is decent too.
All in all 3.5/5

EventHorizon responds:

Ok, thanks for your review and for the advice!

It's an interesting experience althought hardly a game ,with a fitting graphic style and a soundtrack that sets the mood appropriately ,but sadly it gets dragged down by the unnecessary amount of achievements and slow movement speed (i understand that it takes a part in creating an atmosphere
of fear ,loneliness and despair but it still is fairly annoying).

EventHorizon responds:

Thanks for your honest comment, I appreciate it!

Creepy game. The building of suspense was good but i wish there was a sense of purpose or direction other than just wandering around, other than the first day. I liked the music.
I don't understand why to change the dialogue you have to mouse click, my hands are already at the keyboard(which has plenty of buttons) to click my mouse button. Its annoying having to go from keyboard to mouse just to change dialogue.
Good game.

Thanks for your review and for the advice! :)

For those confused by this game, this is basically what happened.

The lunar company is cloning John to run the station. Due to problems with the cloning process John regularly dies and must be reborn. His wife is long dead, his child is all grown up. All that psychological stuff is because he is slowly breaking down due to being a clone.

EventHorizon responds:

No, no, no, no, no, you're confusing with the film!, John is a true human, and there are not clones!!

I don't write reviews too often, but I have the feeling that you can be really good at making games if you take a little bit more care with the next one you make. Anyway, this are my thoughts of what can be improved and what you don't need to really change.

I really liked the scary sounds, the background music, all the jumpscares (you really know when and how to put them) and the graphics.

What I didn't liked was the linearity, the entire game basically all you have to do is just go to the opposite direction you started, it gets more bored when the character you control is really slow. Even in the "self-destruction" part the astronaut walks, like nothing is happening, instead of run for his life! Other point that I didn't liked was the fact that you can't explore the spaceship or the moon. You just need to hold the left ou right button, and sometimes, press spacebar or click in something.

The last thing that I think you need to improve is the medals. Most part of the medals you gain just for reading the story, instead of actually doing something to get them. But I think this is just me, and my "easy medals" problem haha, so I'm not going to take half-star from this game because of that.

In the end, I enjoyed playing the game, and I look forward to see a sequel.
