Reviews for "Ghost Light Part 1"

Hard mode is so freaking easy, thanks for the medals.

Comacolors responds:

Admittedly I pulled some punches on the difficulty for the sake of flow and keeping the game accessible.

However I'm not pulling any punches in the lost levels I'm working on now, so it'd be awesome to know what you think of them when they're up.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback.

The hard mode was challenging enough to keep me interested but not so hard to keep me from never beating it. I really enjoyed it!

Comacolors responds:

Awesome, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Balancing the difficulty is always a tightrope walk, so that's very encouraging to hear.

Thank you for the feedback.

WOW AWESOME GAME I GIVE ALL 5 STARTS WHATS THE NAME OF OR PLAYER

Comacolors responds:

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

If you mean what the character's name is his name is Algernon.

I really like this game! The mood is well-made, the music is awesome and doesn't get boring. The cutscenes and the colors help a lot. The graphics are simple but beautiful, and the difficult is very balanced as you go through the levels. The very single bug I found is that, when you jump to a platform above your height, you can jump just after touching that platform and perform a REALLY big jump. Maybe its just part of the game mechanics, and not a bug itself.

Anyway, nice job! I am eagerly waiting for the second part!

Comacolors responds:

Thank you, I'm really stoked that you enjoyed it.

That is a bit of a bug. I really liked the character being able to hop up on platforms that were a bit too high, it made the controls feel a lot less stiff, but it did result in that odd super jump, so I just did my best to build the levels around it. As I get better at coding I'll be sure to work out a solution, because while it doesn't break the Ghost Light games it will really mess up some games I have planned after that.

Thank you again for the feedback.

very good game do you have online tuts?

Comacolors responds:

Thank you kindly.

I've only just started making games so I think it would be a mistake for me to try to make tutorials. There are already a lot of things I made for this game a few months back that I know I could do better now. I have a lot of improving to do before I'd ever be comfortable trying to teach others. Thank you though.
