Reviews for "Strategery 2012"

Good game man.
This is pretty sweet. The parody is awesomely executed.

Quite Good Game, however I found one big gripe. the game should have a menu button, in which you can save, quit, change quality and turn on/off the sound, and off course it should work as a pause button too

SilverwareGames responds:

A lot of people bring up menus.

(Edited to sound less grumpy) I can't see a real justification for one.

I understand that a lot of games have menus because its good form... but maybe we are being slaves to the standard flash game format?

Cool style, great art....interesting design. Overall, I really like the art more than anything. The political commentary I can take or leave, but as an Advanced Wars spoof using current events, I think this is an awesome title. Looking forward to "Strategery: Middle East Democracy" expansion pack.

Big gripe: too much talking. As a gamer, I am more interested in playing the game than I am reading a comic book. If I was more interested in reading or watching cinematics, I'd probably go read or see a movie. Not to dump on the game's dialogue, I just don't care for it in such excess.

SilverwareGames responds:

Heh, probably not going to go in the middle east direction. When people are actually dying over the war it isn't as fun for me to make it into a goofy game. Also, since they are new at the whole election thing it isn't as much fun to tease them.

I'm thinking about ways to still get the dialogue out there but make it as quick paced as possible, but yeah to play this one you're gonna need to read.

Well the pixels are just great for style. Its just like the real campaign but diferent.

Very clever and well executed idea. I like how your staffers don't respond to attacks just like the real Romney campaign. Gary Johnson 2012

SilverwareGames responds:

Wanted to do something with Ron Paul, maybe a level where he shows up and has only an extremely tiny crop of staffers and the goal is to beat him in 3 turns. I thought that might tick off the Paul guys though. (Also time constraints!)
