It's really nice I just have one problem: for a prologue there was little told on what to do. You didn't even say to move with the arrow keys unless I missed that. And you also didn't talk about climbing and swimming. It can make the game frustrating and kill it for some. It only took me a few second to figure out how to move but the point is I shouldn't have had to learn just how to move through trial and error. Other than that, love it.
I like what you have so far; the simplistic gameplay and less is more aesthetic of the game are nice to see, but I do believe that it does feel unpolished. I can't wait to see the final project, but I an't give you a mark as high as I would like to based on completeness.
I quite love it. I hope you end up making metroid-style with a non-linear map to explore.
