Reviews for "Kingdom of Liars 1"

It was enjoyable but my biggest complaint was that it was a little too linear and too easy. The art was great and the music was nice but it was noticeably repetitive. Overall, it was a fun and simple way to pass the time. I look forward to seeing the story progress.

Pretty good point and click adventure game but I'm having the same problem as UnfortunateAccident is that the end of this episode or not? If it is that's fine as I felt that this is a sound game, with lots of variety in races and people. I'll admit that the title drew me to this submission, seeing Kingdom of Liars I instantly thought of Game Of Thrones which is a good thing!!

Great art, enjoyed the sketchy style - 5. Music was repetitive but fitting - 4. Too short and didn't use all of the locations, items and NPCs unrelated to the quest in locations not even referenced in the story line... I'm expecting this will be covered in future releases, e.g. Ants seemed tacked on... - 3

Overall, entertaining. May want to work on the intro - why the move? What's up with sis? Why am I a cop? Lots of gaps.

(Mild Spoiler Alert)

I am always a fan of your games, and find your character development interesting in this new story. I appreciate the effort you took to create your own story/characters as a distinctly different, but equally compelling adventure compared to Hood or Alice.( I also liked both of those games immensely :3 ). As always, the music was fitting and props to your music guy.

The only complaints I had about this game were that the overall story arch was short even for "part 1", and I agree with the other comments that the pressure switch should be at least slightly more visible.

I also think it would make the gameplay more dynamic if you used the other characters as more than just a way to get to the next destination. As a suggestion, incorporate one or two more quests for either the merchant, or possibly even for the guy hanging out with the ants (since he didn't seem to serve much purpose in the story-line so far). I also thought it was a bit far-fetched that a cop would blatantly steal from a merchant, and if this is a city of thieves, then a crowbar or other similar objects wouldn't be laying around in the street. I was disappointed I couldn't pick up the sword of the dead men next to the warehouse door.

Overall, I like this game a lot, and really look forward to the next installment. Keep doing good work, Hyptosis.
