I got stuck for the longest time trying to get the flithling to come with me. More than one new guy forgot to bring handcuffs on the first day *facepalm*
I've played these games before, and as I've thought before, I say now, these games are amazing. The art style blends with the setting so well (and I love how similar yet distinct it is from Alice is Dead), music is alright (to be honest, only reason I took out half a star), and logic and gameplay is very much sound. Hyptosis, you so awesome!
Awesome work! Good story, acceptably lengthy, great art and a nice environment. But I won't give this a full score due to the total lack of world and character animation, as well as no sounds except for one single song... it's not as much of an experience when the world has nearly no dynamism.
I think the reason it was hard for the door is because you can't really see the pressure plate all that well. I had to move the mouse a bit till I saw a notice on the floor of it telling me there was one.
Except for the annoyingly difficult puzzle at the end with the door, this is otherwise a fantastic game. The artwork and the music together create a mise-en-scene that is as gritty and film noir as you can make a high fantasy setting become, which makes for a unique mixture.
