Reviews for "Goin' Mental"

i like this game, the idea of making a game where you are fighting your imaginary enemies locked in a room is good but i also think the game is too short it would be better to have more than 3 rounds in it.

samulis responds:

thanks for your thoughts.

At first I thought it was a bit to hard however once I beat it I felt it was just right. Something really hard but not unbeatable. It may help some people to use the fullscreen mode, the little figure when you start the game.

One thing I noticed is that the man has no mouth. Is that meant to be symbolic?

Also if you do anything I'd suggest making a squeal of some sort. With a bit more animation, jokes, creepiness. ect. Mostly because this has potential to have more in it. Not like this same moving and avoiding but maybe other mini games or other types of ways to play since the character seems so interesting. Like platforming or puzzles. Or even more animations if your willing. Cause I REALLY enjoyed the ending. Goodluck.

samulis responds:

Thanks for playing and the good feedback.

wow good hard and awesome art 5 stars it's a PERECT game.

samulis responds:

Thanks. :)

your game is a good idea but the face dont stop apearing on me :(

samulis responds:

on or next to? There's a script that stops them from appearing on top of you.

Fine idea for a game. However, there are a few bits you may have forgotten.
Firstly, the /SOLE/ reason I lost the first ten times was because the head/mouth things kept popping up RIGHT on top of me, or in front of me. I also saw them spawn on top of the spike ball, too.
Secondly, the movement is fairly slow. Good for a small room, but sometimes it gets a bit... Just, I should say it should be a tiny bit faster.
Lastly, the eyes. They seem useless to me, except for score, and score hasn't been a big deal for me ever since the NES came out. "Atari was for score; but not any more." Remove them, or put them on the walls. I kept thinking they were dangerous.

samulis responds:

The eyes DO shoot little "bullets" at you... plus they're pretty creepy.

We'll look at some of the spawn stuff and discuss if it needs to be adjusted.

EDIT: There should already be a code in place preventing spawns right on top of you.
