Reviews for "Slime's Cake Quest"

pros: I like the story concept, it was new and interesting. It also threw a few "memes" in to be funny
overall, a great game! I expect this to be one of the top game choices for the jam. Professionally done, yet still fun to play.

cons: The engine was a little buggy in places, and it screwed with the controls a bit.
Also, try not to use current "memes" as they wear off after a while and become old and boring. Don't be afraid to come up with something new!
Also: Though it looks professional, be careful! A game that looks TOO professionally done will both have people criticizing the game much harsher, and will lose its "flavor" - its "indie-dev"-ness (i'm struggling for words at this point)

I believe this game is, as many people believe, the best in the series. What really struck me as cool about it was how it was so creative. I really have never played a game like this before. It was a bit strange to play a game where you were supposed to fall down somewhere. The music was also really cool and had a great funky beat. The way the slime throws his food up reminds me of the Achievement Unlocked game.

Wait, in that game, I think the elephant pooped stuff up, not threw them up. I didn't know there were games that were made in 72 hours for this. No wonder it's better than nearly everything else! It's simply a pleasant and very enjoyable game. It did get a bit darker when you could die, though.

Thanks man, great review, I'm always inspired by Achievement Unlocked and jmtb02's other work.

Really great game, kind of quit after the 20th time of hitting the spikes. The sliding motion is a little bit off and makes it hard but overall a fun good game. Too bad I quit really really quickly. :)

Well for being made in 72 Hours is a nice little Game, just encountered the Problem with the Barfing-Keys but well happens, no complains bout the Spikes thou, worked fine for me.
Liked the FFFFFFFFFuuuuuuu-Achievment :D

Heh, thanks man, Yeah I dunno what's up with the keys, has something to do with which browser you using I think.

However had the idea to put the "Quit" function instead of the "Quality" function on the Q key should be executed by forcefeeding for using pre-2000 era controls . Apart from that the game was a nice timekiller; almost perfect, etc.
