Reviews for "All Roads (NATA)"

This. Is. Awesome. It's simply amazing.

I love it. When I had first seen The Masquerade I was ding to see more of your work. I'm glad you went with a few more colors, it gives it a bit more presence. The story was excellent. I can't interpret what exactly you intended to be your "white elephant in the room", but I'm guessing it is the main character. the main character not fitting in with societal standards. Thus, a while elephant in the room. Animation was fluid, and not as dicey as The Masquerade was.

I am going to keep checking in on your works, keep it up.

I thought the story was cool and it does relate to elephant in the room i think. I think the elephant being the whole doing what you love vs. what society expects.

I thought the audio worked well and the animation was also good. I appreciate the experimenting but i think you dont need the 3d things. It looks awkward with your style i think. I like the crudeness of your line work and i think the 3d has too much polish for it. Particularly the bit with the coins, i think I woulda appreciated it more if they were just hand drawn and 'imperfect'. Good job, i like that you have no speaking parts. I've always enjoyed that about cartoons and i think its more difficult to get away with. Good luck

Yeah, I agree. I think I'll stick with 2D for the next one and try to go the opposite route and possibly try to draw frames on paper for a change (assuming I can find a decent way to vectorize them later. I hear Toon Boom is good for that.)

Very cool but I still can't see the relation with "the elephant in the room"...

Pahgawk responds:

Well, from wikipedia, the idiom can refer to "an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss." In the case of this video, I intended to have the protagonist try to avoid doing what he actually wants to do because he wants the money he gets from his current job. For a few scenes, he tries to block out the problem. The idiom doesn't really apply to the whole movie, but since it's still incorporated into a part of the plot, I think it counts.

wow good story, cool animation :D
