Reviews for "Time Travel Facility 2"

It's a really good game! i havea question... did you got some inspiration on Gordon Freeman from Half Life? because the main character looks like him.

Oracions responds:

From Chris: "I've never played Half Life actually (although I really should one of these days). I created a few designs, but in the end the brown hair and goatee combo looked the best. Really glad you enjoyed the game ^_^"

I'm a sucker for time-manipulation. I don't think the mechanic was used as well as it could have been. When dying, for example, you hold 'a' to rewind time. The problem with this was that, if you'd been slowing time when you died, you could rewind yourself into the same hazard that killed you three or four times. Additionally, the time grenades were only needed for one part. It would've been nice to see some puzzles where syncing enemies was required.

Oracions responds:

The "rewinding into death" loop is a problem, I agree.

As for time grenades, they're actually necessary in three parts: in the level in which they are introduced to fight Spikes, in the "military men checkpoint" and in the same level in the room downstairs. They also help a bit in the boss battle.

Syncing enemies is an interesting concept I could have used. At one point in the boss battle, though, you may use it to sync the non-organic with organic projectiles to make it easier to jump in the gap.

The programming and music were fine, but Chris, you need to get your act together, i had no motivation to read the speach bubbles. The writing was so meh. To improve, have a look at some games that have done it right.

Oracions responds:

Thank you for this feedback.

so painful if you DIE!!

Great game and concept although it seems impossible to pass threw the "not even military men can run pass this" checkpoint.

Oracions responds:

SPOILER: SOLUTION AHEAD.

To pass this checkpoint, you must use time grenades. Hold (S) just after the row projectiles falls down and run up to the first obstacle. Jump over it and go to the next obstacle. Now wait until the next row of projectiles is just above your head and throw a time grenade to the obstacle. The projectile row will disappear and you may jump over the obstacle and to the exit. You may use additional time grenades if necessary.
