Reviews for "Offspring Fling! [DEMO]"

Good game overall. Though making the toss and pick-up commands different keys made it pretty hard to get acostumed. Also, jumping with up key would be feel more natural.

Xerus responds:

Thanks! The good news is you can customize your controls, but making pick up and throw be the same button would break a lot of the puzzles where you pick up multiple children.

hate the controls wasd would be ideal but at least being able to jump with up would help. its also really soppy and gay but i guess thats the angle your going for

Xerus responds:

You can customize the controls in the options menu to be WASD or anything you want! Hahahah, "soppy and gay."

How do I get past this wall? I know! I'll throw my child at it!

Xerus responds:

Yeah!

Note: I have considered that this is a demo and a flash game of retro genre, and not expecting more from it.

Graphics / Animation: 80%
I didn't really like the forced "unsmoothing". This game could be just as good with smoother graphics.

SFX / Music: 100%
The tunes are simply perfect.

Story / Gameplay: 90%
Innovative, challenging yet surprisingly grotesque considering our heroine tosses her offsprings around like they were mean to be live ammunition. I would like to see some consistency of plot between the levels, they seem to be way too functional. Revealing storyline frames one by one showing an intro for each level would be expected. I also love the nostalgic feel to the whole game. Brings back my old Amiga days when I whipped the little jumping cornseeds with my fairies in Rodland. :P

Controls / Navigation: 95%
Controls are perfect, though the basic layout was inconvenient and I didn't notice other buttons from the gargantuan level selection menu on the left.
