I wouldn't call this a bad game, but I don't really see anything that would make this different from every other generic platformer.
I really enjoyed it.

The problem I had, was that sometimes when I jumped on an enemy I took the damage and not the fiend!?

Think about it, this is good material for a bigger one! ;)
It was a fun game. The controls seemed quite tight, especially with jumping (as long as you don't hit the ceiling). The one problem that I saw was the hit box. Sometimes when jumping on enemies the jump appears to be accurate, but you wind up taking damage instead of the enemy.
