Reviews for "The Fairyland Massacre"

A lot of potential for mindless (violent!) fun, art was good, controls were fairly intuitive, but I think I speak for a lot of laptop users when I say that I'd really appreciate keyboard controls in addition to the mouse-based defaults.

Super fun game, kinda wish levels were a little more personally adaptable. Also if you just go get the last piece you finish the game, no dragon, no worries.

Well, what gets allowed a T rating has changed since I was younger.

Ahem.

For those of you having trouble killing the dragon, he's invincible to normal weaponry, but super ultra SPOILER ALERT! There are two golden skulls facing each other, at least one set in the top left middle somewhere. When you walk through them, lightning shoots between the two. The lightning doesn't hurt you, and doesn't have any conceivable affect on the common enemies. Do you see where this is going?

I liked the game, but gosh was it a grind to killing things. Honestly, I wish there were more upgrades, as after you get the laser at around Lv. 15, the game becomes just a grind to mash through every enemy and go get the map pieces, usually involving abusing the terrain to kill the 9 ladybugs that just appeared on screen all around you. I think I spent more time walking into ladybugs than killing anything else in the game...

Great game though. No huge glitches on my computer, fairly easy to grasp, and fairly good at holding attention. The map is designed incredibly well and the music only gets repetitive if you have just spent five minutes killing damn ladybugs...

I look forward to your future works.

Great fun, nice and gory. Solid gameplay, minimally buggy (some bad guys spawning in locations where they couldn't attack/be attacked). You lose points for not actually telling us in-game what the controls are though! Don't rely on people reading your outside comments, especially if you're distributing this on other websites. Oh, and am I meant to be able to get the same achievement over and over again? I swear I got about 20 killing sprees =P

Brilliant little time waster you have here. Easy controls + nice difficulty curve + perfect amount of blood and gore = A game I wouldn't mind playing over and over again. Who knew that rampaging through a fairytale world as a robot assassin pretty much bent on genocide could be so fun? Music fit the game perfectly. Though repetitive, it was the good kind which compliments the game rather than the bad kind which makes you play the game on mute lest you find something and rupture your eardrums to make it stop. Only suggestion I have is that a "How to play" tab in-game never hurt anybody. Also while the secret skill is cool, you might want to at least take away the healing aspect to it so that it's less broken. Kinda makes the game meh since you can't die no matter what.
