Reviews for "My Little Dashie - Alpha"

while this game does have potential, it has some definite problems. first of all, I know that the title is "My Little Dashie," but I feel as though you would add a degree of depth if you allow the player to choose which pony they want to play with.
furthermore, right now, I feel as though the battles are too difficult. I can't even get past Twilight Sparkles. a hit/miss ratio would make solve that problem a bit. it would also be nice if the white screen that the pony walked along had more detail... and if there were very small battles to be had there so that you could build experience before you have your first real (and seemingly impossible) battle. if that features is part of the white screen, I apologize. I walked around for a while and saw nothing.

anyway, in time, I do hope to see this game improve.
it could be something truly great.

sonicmon1 responds:

Dear Zag,

Thank you for your critique.

You would not believe how many people request to choose their own pony. I will work on it as a side project once the engine has been finalized and polished. However, this is a tribute to the popular fanfic, which features an owner finding a little Dashie in a cardboard box. It wouldn't make sense if you could choose the pony.

Fear not, though. The Mane 6 will feature in this game. Don't worry.

This all depends on what class you chose. I gave a brief guide on how to win battles in the description. I'm sorry if it was not adequate. I recommend Defender for new players to reduce the opponents attack (Growl) and then reduce the Defence (Stare) before finally going in for the kill.

The white screen aspect will be removed in the next update. This game is getting constant attention from me, so, hopefully, the updates will be frequent. The screen will go. I am hoping to replace it with just the Old Diary. Dashie will instead walk around the Preloader menu and nowhere else.

You will see this game improve. It will take time, but it will get there. Thank you for your guidance.

Your's Awesomely,

SonicMon

Not bad.
In fact. . . I like it!

how i learn the last power, i got lv 14 and nothing...
this story repeat all time, is aways the 1st ?

sonicmon1 responds:

It's been fixed in a recent patch. You should be able to unlock it whenever you finish a fight.

The story is just a placeholder, showing you what it will look like.

This is a guide rather than a review, please excuse this.

How I beat the final boss.

1. play as attacker.
2. Make sure you spend only 2 points in both defense and HP capacity for a a total of 4 points spent (this is so you arn't 1-shotted by the final boss)
3. Level up to level 6-8 making sure you spend all the points you acquire into attack. (expect for the 4 points I said you should invest into HP capacity and defense.
4. acquire around 10 AP potions and 10 Max HP potions.

During the fight with luna, with the character build I suggested, you should first use your AP potions to facilitate constant attacking, always attack her with your strongest attack and whenever she does one of her counterattacks, just use the max HP potions to restore your life, so long as you have enough max HP potions you can endure and defeat her.

This is a fun little rpg game. The graphics were nice and the controls were simple. The medals worked for me, except for " Come at me, pony. " i am not sure if it is broken, or NG wonky medal system.

Before I played this game, I had no idea what MLP was all about. After playing this game, I now understand that it is not my cup of tea. I look forward to the sequel.

sonicmon1 responds:

Hey Doctor Strongbad!
Yeah, the medals have been a bit up and down lately. I am currently working on a new version of this game so I won't get round to fixing this, sorry.

As for MLP, I urge you not to make a judgement off my game. That's unwise. Instead, test the waters yourself. Watch an episode. If you don't like it, that's fine. I'll have a lot of respect for you trying it rather than just trashing it without any basis for doing so.

If you loved old Cartoon classics, such as Dexter's Laboratory, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Powerpuff Girls, or any show like that, My Little Pony will, likely, appeal to you as well.

Take care, and thanks for your comment!

SonicMon

ive only played this game for about a minute but it seems like its going to be very sad, just by how rainbow dash talks to you

sonicmon1 responds:

Well, I never finished this, so don't worry about a case of the sads coming.
