Hmm... Reading other posts, I'm going to have to disagree with most. Recoil is great as it adds a nice mechanic to the game, making it challenging. I liked the game a lot and the search feature reminded me a lot of Rebuild by sarahnorthway. which was a fantastic game.
And I believe there is a bug/glitch in the game as I lost a defender when no zombies were able to damage my barricade. What i mean is, my barricade was at 100% and I was able to shoot the zombie before it was barely out of my sight. So far that's the only bug I've ran into.
The search feature didn't bug me at all. I never assumed to find something 100% of the time, especially when your search party is just going door to door in neighboring areas. Basically, I just assume that whatever it says you can find in a certain building is just assumption; so it never bothered me if I didn't come back with anything. So the search feature was alright by me.
Improvements.
I'd like to see more improvements. Maybe in the next installment, the player will be put in the barricade level instead of the window level? This way we can shoot through peep wholes as the Zombies come out of the corn stalks.
Speaking of corn stalk, I'm also hoping that their will be a change in view. It actually confused me when each round took place in the same spot over and over while we were traveling through different neighboring areas. It wasn't until it was the next city that I just accepted that it was the main staging area to defend against the zombies.
Mods for guns would be nice. I'm a big fan of hunting rifles and I believe in accuracy over quantity of shots, so perhaps a scope for the Remington and hunting rifle would be nice as sometimes head shots are just near misses.
Speaking of guns, more guns would also be nice. But this can be last on the list.
Anyways, it was a very nice game and I enjoyed it a lot. This is actually my 2nd time playing this game before writing the review. Hoping for part 2!
