Reviews for "Arzea"

This is a great time waster. Thanks for the great game! Slick controls and easy to use, plus I can pick it up where I put it down. Great game!

Arzea hearkens back to the early 90's of computer gaming with graphics reminiscent of platformers like Jill of the Jungle or (the original) Duke Nukem. The world is colorful, the enemies appropriately irritating, (pre-level 50), and the achievements challenging but not tedious.

Another highlight of the game was the music, which never felt obviously repetitive or distracting. It's nice to see a obviously pixelated game with such a smooth theme.

The first thing that irked me was that there were only one or two cases where each spell was absolutely necessary to pass through a barrier. Once past level 70, it's really the player's preference as each spell does similar damage to any enemy. In the end, they just felt slightly arbitrary.

The controls were tight, and the only lag I experienced was my old computer having problems keeping up. Aiming with the mouse took some getting used to, but as with the spells, higher levels make accurate aiming largely unnecessary.

In the end, it's a solid piece of Flash gaming. Nice work.

Great game!! I think I only got to %87. Great fun, great concept. Regards from Argentina!! P.S.: I'm giving it 4.5 because there's no official walkthrough ( or at least that I know of). If there is one, please, contact me!!

Overall I enjoyed the game. It wasn't particularly challenging, but it was worth the time I put into it. However, I played the game through to 100% completion, but didn't receive 2 of the medals:
Collect all 10 speed orbs
Collect all the keys

Bug: If you fire blast the rust orange key gate, it disappears.
