Reviews for "Arzea"

really cool, but I seem to have a problem with the medals, I got everything and completed the game at 100%, but some medals didn´t work for me, anyways, it was a great game, nice.

I couldn't figure out where to go after I got the double jump orb. Also, when I died, all of the sliding blocks changed color. I'm sure it's intentional, but I don't get it's meaning. The game was good and the music was very fitting.

Good Game Bit difficult and the achievements didn't work, the music was beautiful but the storyline was a bit hazy. maybe if I finished it would get more but i couldn't get the purple key. Other than that it was a great game

i had fun with that game lol but as mentioned before telling us there was a map even if it was in our fucking faces all along would of been nice (but ill say that its kinda my fault for not looking in the corner) anyway the music was good and the controls were very smooth but the story line was kinda bad but i dont think i have ever seen i little platformer like this with an actual story so yeah it does not affect the score

overall great game!!! :D

Arzea hearkens back to the early 90's of computer gaming with graphics reminiscent of platformers like Jill of the Jungle or (the original) Duke Nukem. The world is colorful, the enemies appropriately irritating, (pre-level 50), and the achievements challenging but not tedious.

Another highlight of the game was the music, which never felt obviously repetitive or distracting. It's nice to see a obviously pixelated game with such a smooth theme.

The first thing that irked me was that there were only one or two cases where each spell was absolutely necessary to pass through a barrier. Once past level 70, it's really the player's preference as each spell does similar damage to any enemy. In the end, they just felt slightly arbitrary.

The controls were tight, and the only lag I experienced was my old computer having problems keeping up. Aiming with the mouse took some getting used to, but as with the spells, higher levels make accurate aiming largely unnecessary.

In the end, it's a solid piece of Flash gaming. Nice work.
