I work in a Gamestop store...

I actually work in EB Games (Canadian version of Gamestop) and GOD do I love you for making this.

I could recognize almost every offer the clerk made there, and things I'm supposed to mention, and fuck does it ever piss me off having to offer all this to clients that obviously don't give a flying shit about everything I say.

Currently I'm an assistant manager in one of the biggest store on the eastern border, and my ''superiors'' keep saying I'm not gonna go any higher with the company if I don't offer all the 56 000 useless shit to everyone, yet, I have some of the best customer reviews online...

Honestly, I'm linking this page to every sinple gamestop and eb games employee I know, this needs to get around, might even work in our favor!

This is true, also it's hurting small publishers.

Lets just take note on how the revenue Gamestop makes is mostly from re-selling games and the publishers make money off of new copies only.

Gamestop and EA are hurting everyone, especially smaller companies. Not many rising from indie game companies anymore; it's hard when the power lies in all the now overfed companies.

I'll brb I need to go get some "buttfuck" package at Gameshop.

It REALLY has become this. Mind you it's litterally EVERY store you go into but of all of them GS would have to be the worst, but I you do need to understand WHY at the very least.
See, you don't really get "promotions" for pushing all the BS product. It's more hours to work. The higher your subscriptions are, the more hours corperate will give you. Understand something here, NO GS is franchised, meaning no manager as an overall say as to how many hours one employee initially gets. It's ALL performance based for just barely over minimum wage, so those poor guys behind the counter are honestly whoring themselves in order to get more hours for considerably shitty pay. Mind you since I know the system FAR too well, NO one does that crap to me in GS down home so when I come to get my shit and leave, that's all that damn well happens unless I'M the one who decides to further conversation. Vote of 5 and 10 Stars 'Cross the board.
