its about time...
i remember the very first video game i ever bought by myself with my own money.... it was starfox 64, i bought it at gamestop in the 90s back in the good ole days, when i walked in that store as a 8 year old with my allowance money i felt like the most important person in the world.... thats how much attention they gave me in helping me pick my game and make sure i got one of the coolest new n64 games for the time..... now its all about the almighty dollar, its sad, i just bought my lil sister a used gamecube and took her to go get her first game with her own money and she wanted to do it all by herself, so i let her talk to the ppl and try to be independent and all the fuckers did was point to the small lil gamecube section, they didnt offer opinions they didnt point her in the right direction and she got overwhelmed and then she picked one up and brought it to the counter and asked about it and the guy looks at her and says that the gamecube is a waste of time and that she should tell her mommy and daddy to invest in a ps3.... shes 8 years old it broke her heart to hear that the system i got her was trash and useless and she cried and said but my big bubby got it for me, and he said well tell bubby to buy you something better.... now the entire time i was standing over in the 360 section just scoping prices and watching over her from a distance.... i snapped, i asked to speak to the fuckers manager and all the manager did was offer 10$ in store credit and a free mvp membership or some bullshit. i picked up my now balling sister threw the luigi's mansion game at his face (literally like i bloodied his nose with it) and walked out..... wtf have we come to when a small child cant even shop for a damn kids game with her own money and be exposed to a fun atmosphere for the duration of her first independent experience.
