Reviews for "Trigger Knight"

She doesn't earn enough gold

The prices keep going up, but she's not getting enough gold to keep up. Interesting concept, but I found it annoying in not having control over what came next.

Fun but...

It's a fun game yes, Never would've thought that a one button game can be this fun. It's just that I don't like relying on luck too much, dunno how many times I lost because there wasn't a soulshrine in 4-6 events, or no grim before I meet a dragon. it's still too 'chancey' for my taste.

I'd say let us stack elixirs ?

But good job on making one button game that isn't boring.

Some Flaws

It was a good and fun game in all but there were some flaws I have noticed. The first one being the repitition of shops,i got 3 soul shrines in a row and there are times when shops seem scarce like elixer and armor or weapon. The second has to be the Golden Voucher and Full Buster, there is no explanation at all until you buy one of them. I never bought a Golden Voucher because I am afraid to waste 500g for something worthless. The third flaw is my own opinion, everytime you start you have to go through the instructions no matter what no matter how many times you played which gets somewhat, not too much, annnoying and yet you never have to go through the Soushrine one ever again after the first time. I am sure there are more but I will leave it at this for now. Great game and keep up the goodwork.

Okay, well, to start off, I liked the game. The concept was good, the art was nice, and the music was energetic. But there were a few things that really bothered me about this game. The first was the whole "Lifespan" deal. While it's an interesting idea, the problem for me was that the cost for the soul shrines kept going up, usually bankrupting me while I was trying to save for an armor or weapon upgrade. Second, the monsters got really strong really fast so that you NEEDED the higher upgrades, which you couldn't afford because the lifespan recharge was bankrupting you and the monsters didn't drop enough cash. Third, the fact that you only have one item slot and three items that are super important kind of bothered me. This makes the game challenging, but it was frustrating when I had a Divine Edge but I had to buy an Elixir to heal myself and then a dragon appeared in the next encounter.
Fourth, the shops needed to be more regularly spaced. While I understand the randomness of it adds to the challenge, the fact that two soul shrines or two elixir shops were right next to each other made me a little annoyed.
Overall, I enjoyed it, it's a very smooth game and extremely addicting. But it does have some kinks to be worked out.
3.5/5

Dragon

It's so overpowered! I had an Excalibur and the 3rd best armor with full health and was killed by it. There is absolutely no way you're killing that thing unless you have the Divine weapon from the Grim store. Some runs I'd see the Grim store numerous times and others nearly never. It's a fun game, until you become impatient with the lack of chance to advance, even though you hope the next run will the 'the one', etc.

The same goes for those Golden Tickets, they are great if you can buy them. And again, for so many runs I tried to save gold, but never came upon that event that it became frustrating.. I'd die, give it another go, save gold, save gold, get close to dying but save gold anyway, until finally I can't just keep saving it... AND THEN a fu*king Golden Ticket appears... but not before a dragon gets in the way and kills me!

Fun, but the variability of being successful and straight dying is light years apart. Also, I absolutely hated that a store would entire the screen, but could not be clicked on until it was 1/3 of the way into full view - this was particularly important when coming across a soulshine, since lifespan drains by the second. Lastly, with the way the game is described, I expected it to be more fast-paced to actually create those moments for 'split-second decisions'.

I commend you for the art, programming, and music... it'd be more beautiful, if I didn't have these memories of zero HP and Lifespan.
