Way too easy.
The trick is saving up for the money multipliers. Half way through the second stage, I already had the laser gun, all the armor pieces, and medkit upgrades.

It was pretty fun but too short. and easy. Maybe some more playable levels and/or multiple difficulty settings and/or extra play modes and/or bosses.

Fun and neat but very easy. It would have been nice for the characters to have different wepons and skill sets rather than just looking different though
Run. Dumb. Heroes.
After spending an hour killing and upgrading with someone that looks like Abe Lincoln, level 18 comes and goes. Random Heroes is nothing groundbreaking. It uses the tried and true formula of Shoot, jump, shoot some more, jump a couple more times and upgrade. Repeat as needed. The saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" holds true here. The graphics look great and are a throwback to the 8-bit days of my youth. Nine weapons range from a simple pistol to a pulse laser. My only hangup is that once you buy a new weapon, there is no reason to use any previous weapons due to the fact they just get stronger and fire faster. Other upgrades include health and medikit purchases just to name a couple. The soundtrack is surprisingly good, a mix of rock and techno beats keep the pace and the weapon effects arent far off. Enemies and level design are on the easy side (especially bosses, only 3!) For the most part a fun game that doesnt try anything new but dont hold that against it. Add more depth and upgradeable weapons and it will be awesome!

Fun, straightforward game. However, I expected different weapons for each character, rather than just different skins.
