Reviews for "Kit and the Octopod"

Love it.

This is a castle crashers like game that i find really fun. The worm boss was pretty hard but i figured out how to beat it. The bear is not as hard as the worm but more annoying.

How to kill the bear: Stand up close to him he cant hit you the only attack he can hit you with is the spikes or the rocks.

The worm: Stand at a direct angle so you can hit him and he cant hit you.

The ninja: Just stand close to him he is the easiest boss.

Double ninjas: Throw the octopod and they will throw it on eachothers face untill they die if it gets off them just do it again.

Thats pretty much how to beat the bosses. But its a great game it gives me that fun castle crashers feeling. 10/10 5/5.

Hope to see more of this :D.

I love this

its a great game, but it sucks in fails.

Mostly good

Pros:
Looks nice, good difficulty, unique idea.

Cons:
Clumsy controls: I didn't ever get the hang of the controls, it wasn't intuitive at all. There are two schemes that would have been better:

1. Jump button
Pressing into a wall always moves up / slides down, instead of pressing up.
You have to press jump button to jump away from wall. Otherwise you fall when letting go of button in direction of wall.

2. No Jump button
Pressing up always jumps. When you run into a wall you automatically stick and slide down, letting go of direction lets go of wall. Pressing up runs up wall. Pressing opposite direction jumps away from wall.

The hybrid that you have now takes the worst reflexes of both and smashes them together in an unintuitive fashion.

Holding attack button:
Why? Isn't it easier to have another attack button. W

Glitchy movement:
The movement is rather choppy. Especially climbing on a ledge, the character teleports to the top of the cliff. This choppy transition makes it hard to expect what will happen if you anticipate being able to instantly start moving after climbing up.

Overall:
The character movement combined with the lacking control scheme is more challenging than the actual levels, resulting in more frustration over basic movement than actual obstacles.

I liked it

But it could be a bit tedious, much like a lot of platformers. It was very original, but I had a hard time getting into it.

I ain't got no comlaints

This is a simple but fun game that you did a good job on keep up the work
