I adore myself some RPGs, and indeed this is one of the best RPGs on Newgrounds to date me thinks
Also a very nice touch naming the characters after the party members in Mystic Quest, really love that game.

Tristam: Rogue, Fighter(Rocket Launcher=Omnislash+stun proc per hit) S Ninja Ring for Increased speed for quick Haste all to start the fight out clean.
Kaeli: Rogue, Healer (S War Ring= Good heals stupid damage) Quickshot spam main DPS
Phoebe: Fighter, Rogue(Ramona best legendary Att wep, Final Heal skill is single target... T.T) Disruption Ult+ att all= gg to all bosses.
Reuben: Aww this guy is all around badass but his Final Healer Skill is All Heal+All Defense+all Regen. So put an epic or Legendary Magic Weapon(Icy Chill)= GG Dargon easy mode.... Sub Mage for extra MDPS when heals are not necessary.

I really needed a game like this.
Crystal Story had a mix of games, Final Fantasy was one of my favorite series ever! Mostly FF7 and FF5.
Anyway, The one of the three bad things I have noticed about this game was the artwork. It was good at points like the funny cutscenes, but other points could use some work. It's not bad, it just has room for improvement.
The second bad thing is that you took all the names from Mystic Quest which was really cheap. You could have used Bob, or Fred, but those don't sound heroic. How about Drake, or Xan? And Flow or Melody for the girls?
And last but not least, the game was too easy because you get alot of money. Make it so you run out of money every once in a while.
I don't know what else to say but,
Smooth gameplay,
Pretty good graphics,
Final Fantasy-like gameplay,
Lots of skills,
Funny cutscenes,
So overall, 10/10 and 5/5
