I interpret this as the following:
The Triangle man (man) begins by following religon by staring at the pole while it is aligned under the sun. Unfortunatly the sun is constantly moving and thus the pole needs to be contstantly adjusted as well thus it is like religon with its setup never being quite right and thus it is inperfect. The n the square man arrives representing technology/science. He procedes to offer a alternative to religon, sicence (the light bulb). He then makes the light bulb work and then leaves as quickly as he came. The triangle man attempts to gain some meaning from the bulb but finds none due to it providing no real spiritual meaning (artificel light) promptly smashing it in frustration. He then relizes that to achive spiritual happiness he must return to nature. He then takes the tiny speck of light(?) and returns it to the earth where it becomes a tree thus he is giving back to nature. While he goes in to the lotus position (meditation) the sun naturaly aligns itself with the tree and so did not need his input. It then shows him on a sun thus refering back to the beginging and the importance of the circle metaphor.
