Yeah, this is pretty much EXACTLY how it works...
Not a bad piece of work here.
The style is simplistic, and there's not a whole lot going on save for a bit of situational and net-topical humor, though it's still enough to make me grin. Definitely an accurate depiction of how your average 'Brony' is created.
If anything, the gags could have had some more punch to them, given the guy some more over-the-top reactions, but that's purely for lulz value.

Implying this isn't a fad launched by hipsters who just want to look somehow cool by not following normal standards. (A GROWN UP ?? WATCHING A KID SHOW ??? LOOK HOW RANDOM I AM!).
Anyhow I give you 7 for the idea and the voice acting was good.
