Reviews for "Moon Diary"

Thoughtful, and well animated!

Great soundtrack & sound effects that you used. I loved the playfulness & originality of many of the story lines. Even when some of them seemed less meaningful to me, they were still really interesting to watch.

There is one minor detail in the animation that should be cleaned up. At the end, when the lunar cycle runs once through, a small horizontal beige line appears while the animation is progressing. It persists into the final fade-to-black, and it looks like a row of burnt pixels or something (which is why I noticed it).

You clearly put a ton of work into producing this, and I really hope you're satisfied with it, because I think it's a great bit of animation you've put together here. Kudos!

Magic

This is probably one of the most amazing short films i have ever seen in my life. thank you.

incredible

That was simply amazing. I really enjoyed the story and how it was presented. The music fit the mood of the animation. I hope you'll put the tracks in its own cd. The only thing I could ask for is if this was remade with a more hand style drawn animation(not saying that what was here was bad).

KibitzCo responds:

The music comes straight from the band June Madrona; I asked to get their music without vocal tracks and they generously agreed. Most of the songs used came from their latest album. That album also has a song called "Would you rather fly or be invisible?" that almost got used for the credit sequence.

Any way, blah blah, their music is great. You can listen to some for free on their website or buy it at the store at bicyclerecords.com. The Moon Diary DVD is also there. If you want to know which album a particular song is from you can pm me.

Amazing.

It is not often that one finds something like this on Newgrounds. I would go so far to say it is very rare, in fact. This is, quite possibly, one of the greatest animations I've seen on Newgrounds, simply for its quality, music, and of course, the wonderful story. I applaud you, KibitzCo, and can't wait to see your next work.

Amazing.

Puts an interesting twist on a lot of things we think are normal ignorable things.
