Love it, even if it is a copy

Don't know why everyone is so mad... games copy each other all the time. Pretty much every platformer ever is a copy of Super Mario Bros. Besides, it's not like you're selling it or anything.... in fact, I actually think you did a great job at this. I'm a big fan of the original and this one is just as great... better is some aspects. I like that I don't waist fuel above ground, I'm glad I don't fly, I like the addition of a map, and although I haven't beaten it yet, I do enjoy the lack of "watch out for Satan" radio calls.

This is a great game and worth of the front page... not only did you do a great job with it's creation, but I'm sure you learned a lot in the process. I'd give you more stars, but they only allow 10.

Also, I like to just dig away the dirt... OCD style. I want to clear the map. Use to do it in the pyramids of Mario Bros 2 as well. I would love an 'infinite money' mode so I can just play around in the dirt... I don't know why it's so fun, but it is.

Its bad enough that this game is clearly a rip off another game, IT MADE THE FRONT PAGE! I don't know how it works but... I remember the days that I could count on most of the games placed of the front page would be both enjoyable and somewhat original.
I'm not saying I didn't enjoy this... I'm just saying I'm really tired of having to dig around for the really good games (not this one).

On this game... Kinda funnish... though I would probably call it more compelling than fun... dig some stuff... get stuff to dig more stuff... meh.... I got tired of it quick.
Its well put together and all that but I don't recall smiling/laughing when I played this.

oh look motherlode is back... wait a minute....

A nice game and all with decent graphics and controls etc, i would give it about 8 but im taking 5 off because its such a rip-off of the better Motherlode

Motherload vs. Mega Miner

As there are many pros and cons to each game let me just focus on what this game has that "Motherload" doesn't. For starters the "Unknown Black Screen". While some may find it annoying I see it as a challenge and it puts a perspective on what the game is intended for MINING. Not knowing what is under the dirt is a fact of life (unless you have an x-ray machine but who cares about you go ruin someone elses fun). You start out with more fuel and you can dig upwards which is a bonus its predecessor doesn't have. Not to mention better control but that is where the good things stop. I dislike the exceeding amount of shops in a random order and the fact that everything in the shop is either double or triple what "Motherload" had.

Over all its a good game if you have time and patience and if I could recommend at-least one thing to the creator, please if there is an upgrade, sequel or anything of the sort add an upgrade section to the map because the red dots, though helpful somewhat, don't tell me what the thing im mining is. (Take a look at hedgehog launcher two you'll know what I mean)
