Reviews for "Alight (in dreams)"

Worth while story, iffy at best game-play.

This game was, in a word, infuriating. The story was great to follow, and the animation was interesting to look at, but the concept of a "don't touch the walls" kind of game kills the best parts of this game. I nearly ripped my hair out navigating through the black walls. Ugh. Would have been infinitely better without that.

The ending made me laugh

Seriously where did that flying shark come from wtf!?

Great story, so-so gameplay

as everyone else said already, the story is good and i like ur concept. Gliding is fun too.

- gameplay is not great... i do think the glide and jump shud be separate buttons. occasionally i'd rather glide, but I have to use up the jump meter in order to glide. Also, gliding in narrow spot is difficult when u have to jump 1st.
- zooming closer when entering a room is not very helpful. makes it a little harder.
- the 1st jump is so low, why is that?
- i feel that the guy moves a little too slow.

at 1st, i picked the candle/feather/clock at random, and realised they are easy, medium, and hard. the alternate ending made me curious, so i went back to play again and choose all clocks. interesting.

Not bad.

Not great, and, given how many games have similar plots, that's just not good enough. The mechanics were kinda cool, but that's the only redeeming feature.
The background music was bland, and the artwork has, like the plot, is familiar.
I feel like, while it was interesting enough for me not to quit, it wasn't really worth the time invested after I finished.

Gameplay was annoying in places

Was the main character supposed to be such an unlikeable bastard?
SPOILERS.

So when he's talking on the phone to his mum he's too self-obsessed to give her a chance to tell him he's dying? And when he does find out, he feels "Oh God, this is so hard for ME" and basically shuts her out of his life so he doesn't have to watch her die? He's not there to comfort or help her in the slightest bit.
And when she does die, he's like "Oh, ok" and throws himself into his studies, even taking his project with him to her funeral.
And when his life doesn't turn out to be the amazing success he wanted it to be, he decides to kill himself by burning his mother's old house down?
WHAT A PRICK.
