Reviews for "Penguin Overlords"

WHY DO YOU HATE HOTKEYS

WHY ARE THERE NO HOT KEYS FOR THE ABILITIES?
Seriously, i thought this game was great at first, but then i got half way through Jungle and realised that i could not use the special abilities, because if i did i would miss a large chunk of money. THEN i realised that if i didn't use the non-bomb ones i would keep losing. Even then the game is made more difficult as you can't use specials "strategically" as you said in your comments, you spam them at the start to keep your money. Add some hot keys, it shouldn't be that hard and it will make the game much MUCH less frustrating.

great game

the gameplay is so addicting and the music fit pretty well.

TOO MUCH TUTORIAL

Everything else was good, but seriously! Get those messages out of my face! I pretty much could figure most of that out on my own! Oh, and a volume control would be nice. That music was so obnoxious I just muted it

Excellent

Remix of Dearly Beloved and Hikari from Kingdom Hearts huh? awesome.

The AI was a little stick-slip though, so i gave you a nine. the Penguins try to run through walls. Update the game with the penguins running AROUND them, and i'll give you a 10

Good

Most of it is really cool, and I had a fun time.
My complaints:
Pathfinding AI is non-existent for the penguins, so instead of going around walls they just run at them, which means that you have to use a bomb to kill the turtle the penguin was after.
The music, while cool originally, got old pretty quickly.
The final upgrades were way too expensive to be reasonable, but the levels were easy enough to clear without them.
I beat the final level with 4 zombie penguins, plus the summoned penguin (up to zombie), and on the other hand, the cheapest final upgrade is the robot penguin beak, for 10,000. x5 for the number of penguins, and then x5 for different upgrades and you have $250,000, which is alot cheaper then the actual price.
It's possible to earn, at best, $12,000 points doing the final level.
You could either reduce the cost and effectiveness of each tier of upgrades, or simply remove the robot penguin entirely, without having too much of a consequence on gameplay.
