Reviews for "Run From the Sun"

Enjoyable

I liked the whole concept.
Graphics could be a little better.
The obstacles weren't to easy and not too hard.
And it was a little addictive.

Awesome

The only thing was that I didn't seem to be able to launch backwards to get the 'Wrong Way' bonus. I don't know if this is a glitch or if I'm supposed to slingshot 180 degrees around a planet.

Great, but maybe a sequel would fix some things

Simple and fun game, but there are some things I'd like to see some improvements in the next version (?)

First: when you unpause the game there should be some kind of delay, so you could still press Space at the right time without having to wait a full rotation.

Second: change the multiple rocket system to an improvement system (so we could build our own rockets using parts we collected as rewards or maybe some points). Either that or make each rocket more different from each other (Showing us a full statistics like launch speed, gravity affinity, oxygen tank capacity,... and REAL special abilities - like a laser gun, teleport, selfdestruct button, planet destroyer, hyperspeed, etc)

Third (and last): Give planets more variety... When they are too close to the sun they start to burn and damage your ship. Create a mechanic planet that recovers the rocket health over time when you're landed on it.

There are many other things you could build into the game like other spaceships trying to escape, help signs in foreign languages...

Fun, with a few flaws

Name that, if you realized you screwed up, you couldn't self-destruct. You had to wait for your oxygen to run out, and by then the sun is where you used to be.

If you were leaving colonies that rebuild your ship on the last planet you visited after falling off, instead of just teleporting there, it would be much more satisfying. Neat nonetheless.
