Reviews for "Pothead Zombies"

Fun

this is a good flash game and i whent online today to find a good defence game and found it Nine stars that you desirve!

Strangely Addicting...

...just like the drugs the zombies are hooked on. I do wish to point out that the pistol reload speed upgrade is a little messed up. it goes from a standard 20 to 5 and then to 10. I don't really notice things slowing down, but either way it's a little odd to have it do that. And yes, it seems to be the case for BOTH pistols, not just one. Great game, none-the-less, though I wish it were a little longer.

Very Fun!

There are probably many flash games out there that have a similar mechanic as this game--stationary firing at wave after wave of enemies, all while purchasing upgrades. Of course, there's the strategy element, which in this game is choosing the correct weapon qualities to upgrade and managing your partner. But, this game isn't just another one of these games. Pothead Zombies is truly exceptional.
The overall presentation of this game greatly adds to its appeal. I normally don't pay too much attention to music in games, but the track in this game seemed more than appropriate for a (pothead) zombie killing spree. The other sounds are also quite good. That rifle makes a beautiful sound when it's fired, and there's that greatly satisfying "crunch" sound when a zombie falls over. Delicious, delicious cacophony! The upgrade system was easy to learn and fun to use. Plus, the graphics in this game are terrific. The smooth animation of the pixelated words"Wave 1" flying across the screen on a darkened banner (plus every other animation), give this game a type of "nu-arcade" feel. I love that.
However, there were a couple of things that I didn't like about the game. Your partner can't use quick-firing weapons very well, unless she's trained fully, and even then she can't use those very well (or is that just because I'm using Zanardi?). Because of this, it seems that the player realizes a very obvious strategy--to give the partner a slow-firing weapon (like the rifle or crossbow), and to use a quick-firing weapon. This didn't bother me too much, but it seemed to detract from the challenge a bit.
This game didn't take me too long to complete, but I felt that the length was just perfect. Like a good arcade game, it pits you right into the action and you keep going until you hit Game Over. No gigantic time involvement, just instant fun! I'd love to play this game again to try to get an even better score. Great work leonardozimbres!
